"The Big Pharma Conspiracy Theory"

The social media is abuzz with "The Big Pharma Conspiracy Theory" and I say enough, stop blaming them and they are not hiding any cure from you, but does that mean they are saints, no not at all.

So, let's understand what they do and why they do

1.Every Pharma company has pool of research scientists (R&D Department). When these scientists come up with new chemicals/drugs tested in vitro (Test Tube, Petri Dish,etc.)/in vivo (animal studies) that could cure or manage the symptoms of a particular disease the process of trails begins.

Those who says it cost less to make drugs or to do trials, try sending your favourite food sample for lab test to detect heavy metals and pesticides, the bill will make you go singing ACDC song "You Shook me all night Long" .The best testing machine costs around $1,00,000 and even more and here we are taking about studying various chemicals, extraction, formulation and then clinical trials. Millions and at times billions Cost of producing drugs of dollars goes into making.

2.If after Phase 1 or Phase 2 trails the drug fails and it does not live up to the expectation. Company has burned million and nobody wants to lose money. Now the odds how much Pharma company will gain and how much will they lose if lawsuits are filed by patients. Once the odds are in their Favour, they may falsify the results, get approval from FDA and the drug will be rolled out. Worse case they may also promote it to treat disease it was not intended to.

3. The Role of Doctors (Not All Doctors), they are human beings too and everybody wants money. The pharma will bribe them to prescribe the drugs to boost sale and they might do as they have nothing to lose as they are not the producer of the drugs.

4. Big question which is the basis of these conspiracy theory, why will Pharma hide cure for cancer?

If pharma finds a cure and is able to produce a drug, there will be  cutthroat competition to pay the highest money and get it patented.

Why would Pharma owners do not want cancer medicine aren't they human being don't they have a family. No body wants to die or see someone in the family die from such a dreaded condition.

First understand Cancer (coming in future write up) by moving beyond Hope and Faith and then start blaming people for hiding the cure. That being said healthy lifestyle and balance diet is Chemo-Preventive but not Cure.
